Thank you for visiting the site. If you are among those who strive for a connection between the Christian classroom and worship space; if you are open to simple singable songs that proclaim the Gospel in styles ranging from reggae to swing; or, if you’re just looking for something new for the church choir, I think there may be things here you’ll like.
Someone once asked me to define “good” music. “That’s easy”, I told him. “ ‘Good’ music is music that does what I want it to do.” And that is true. Music intended for the classroom must educate and engage. Music intended for a congregation to sing must be accessible to all in its form and its language. Music for the choir should look deeper – exploring the interplay of text and music.
Aside from occasional gigs as a church organist and teacher, I am a life-long amateur musician with a lifetime of day jobs to prove it. “Amateur” is used intentionally here - from the Latin “Amo”, meaning “to love”. What is here is here because I love it. I hope you do, too.
